Marriage Crisis Counseling
I’ve specialized in helping couples acquire the tools, skills, and expressive language to address conflicts productively through EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy). Unlike most therapy, EFT enables a couple better understand the “process” by which they currently find themselves in. In other words, “How did we get here?”By creating a “Safe Haven” I help couples get unstuck from the “Crazy Cycle” (Criticism, Defensiveness, Contempt and Stonewalling) that hinders their ability to put words to their emotions. This “Crazy Cycle” is simply a failed attempt to reconnect. Helping them find their “Voice” enables them to begin the process of reconnecting emotionally for the first time, in a long time!Unfortunately, 80% of the couples that I’ve counseled have fallen victim to extramarital affairs. Its become an overwhelming crisis affecting the institution of marriage.

About Me
I am a Lay Biblical Marriage Counselor and Certified Life Coach since 2008. As a father of four, a
grandfather of nine and recently blessed to be a great grandfather, it is my heartfelt desire and passion to help families in crisis. Having personally experienced the heartache of divorce and the affect it has on our children, I sought to find out “why” and to better
understand “what” had happened in my own marriage.This desire compelled me to acquire the level of expertise to help other couples in need. As a result, I enrolled into a very comprehensive Biblical study program with the American Association of Christian Counselors through Light University. It is God’s desire, and mine, that your marriage and family be blessed, healthy and made whole. He is the
one who established the institution of marriage and it’s through Him and Him alone that marriages can be truly restored.-John Aguirre
